LGC’s global quality assurance programme Informed-Choice is pleased to announce the launch of its new and fully-featured website www.informed-choice.org. The new site has enhanced search features and extensive content that will serve as a vital resource for athletes and consumers.
Informed-Choice's new website is designed to assist athletes, exercise enthusiasts and armed forces members in selecting sports supplements that have been screened for substances banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
A new responsive design provides an optimal online experience for users browsing the site on desktop computers, tablets and mobile phones. Enhanced search functionality allows users to search for products by brand name, batch ID or product type. Printable lists of registered products and tested batches are also available on the new site.
Informed-Choice's Director of Business Development, Terence O’Rorke, recognises the new website as a necessary step to improving the customer experience. “Informed-Choice has grown significantly in the last few years and we’re excited to launch our new website for a program that now has more than 400 registered products.
“As more athletes and consumers visit Informed-Choice.org, it’s essential we deliver a high-quality experience over a variety of devices and easy-to-use search features so they can easily confirm if the sports nutrition products they use have been tested.”
In addition to the new search features and mobile responsive design, Informed-Choice's new website also features a variety of educational materials that explain the testing processes for products, manufacturers and raw materials suppliers.
Informed-Choice was established in 2008 with the support of UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) and is recognised by some of the leading National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs) across the world. Since 2008 LGC has analyzed more than 50,000 samples.
